Safety is one of the core values of Akaoru Hands & Hearts Empowerment Foundation. Our training programmes involve practical learning, technical equipment, construction materials, electrical systems, machinery and real workplace environments. Every participant has a responsibility to work safely, protect others and follow all instructions provided by instructors and supervisors.
Following these safety guidelines helps prevent accidents, protects lives and property, promotes professionalism and prepares trainees for industry standards expected by employers and clients.
Failure to comply with safety requirements or engaging in unsafe behaviour may result in suspension, removal from practical sessions or dismissal from the training programme where necessary.

Every trainee is expected to follow these basic rules at all times.
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must always be worn whenever required during classroom practicals, workshops and field activities.
Protects your head from falling objects, impacts and accidental contact during construction, electrical and industrial activities.
Wear safety goggles or protective glasses when cutting, drilling, grinding, welding or handling chemicals.
Always wear suitable gloves when handling sharp materials, electrical equipment or hazardous substances.
Use safety boots with slip-resistant soles and toe protection to reduce the risk of foot injuries.
High-visibility clothing helps trainees remain visible when working around equipment or vehicles.
Protect yourself from dust, fumes and airborne particles when required.
Electricity can cause severe injury or death. Never attempt repairs without approval from your instructor or supervisor.
Every trainee should know what to do during an emergency and how to obtain immediate assistance.
Even a minor cut or injury should be reported immediately to your instructor.
Be familiar with the location of first aid kits and emergency medical supplies.
Immediately notify your instructor or supervisor during emergencies.
Where necessary, professional medical attention will be arranged immediately.
